레슨 상세 내용
Course Description This intensive 15 hour course enables students to acquire English language proficiency in preparation for the IELTS examination. The comprehensive and academically rigorous course puts equal weight on reading writing, listening, speaking and test taking strategies. It focuses on the four language skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing whilst supporting each skills-based lesson with activities designed to enhance vocabulary and grammar language systems. In addition, it focuses on providing students with the skills required to address the questions and tasks accurately and efficiently. In addition to the 15 contact hours in the classroom, students do 5 hours of practice tests outside of teaching. Teaching, therefore, focuses on providing students with the language, grammar and test-taking strategies required for the IELTS exam while the practice tests allow students to put into practice the knowledge and skills acquired in class.
Course Goals
This course aims to improve all four language skills, speaking, listening, reading and writing, as required for the IELTS examination. In addition, the course aims to provide students with a deep understanding of the different question types particular to the IELTS exam, how to respond to the questions and follow instructions.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this course, students will be able to do the following:
Overal
• Recognise and overcome challenges presented in the IELTS exam • Be prepared for the mechanics of the IELTS exam, eg time allotted, format and order of questions

• Skim, scan and focus on target material in all types of reading passages
• Identify the elements of a text and, where required, reproduce these elements in their own writing
• Achieve a deep understanding of the 11 questions types found in the reading and how to address them

Assessment Strategy
Student progress will be assessed on a weekly basis with feedback given in class. Students will also do official IELTS practice exams every week, thus providing immediate feedback on progress.
