In my column today, I just want to share with you this quote I found recently by Thomas Edison, as I found this particularly inspiring.

As an English teacher, I teach many students who are studying hard to improve their English and achieve many different goals such as getting a new job or trying to get a good score in the IELTS exam. Sometimes we have setbacks and maybe we don't get the score we need, or we have unsuccessful interviews, but the important thing is to remain positive and confident in your own ability. 

In Thomas Edison's words, you haven't failed 10 000 times, you have just found 10 000 ways that didn't work. I would add to that, you have just found 10 000 ways that don't work ... so far. Maybe the next way you try will be successful, so don't give up!!
