Hi!
How are you? It's nearly the end of the year and I have just come back from my holiday in South East Asia. My boyfriend took the photo of me in front of some lanterns at the Yee Peng festival in Chiang Mai, Thailand. It was so colourful and beautiful! Have you ever been to that festival or Loi Krathong lantern festival? I recommend it highly!
The start of the "silly season", the Christmas and New Year period, is a chance to catch up with old friends and colleagues. You may have noticed I started the post with the word "How" as in "How are you?"
"How" is a very useful word to start some questions.
For example:
"How long has it been (since we last saw each other)?"
"How are you and the family?"
Complete the following questions.
"How ___ your flight?
"How ___ your family?"
"How ______ you been?"
Answers are below.
Can you think of any other "how" questions?
Why not use these examples next time you talk to a colleague or foreign friend?
Have a great day!
Zia
