For those who don't know, I visited Japan for 3 weeks in November. It is a trip that I was excited about for a long, long time, but the plans were very uncertain because of Covid. At one point, it looked like the trip would likely be canceled. It was so fortunate that the rules changed at just the right time, and I could visit as planned.
Thanks to the amazing 'JR RAIL PASS', I was able to visit many different prefectures - Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Mie, Hyogo, Fukuoka, and Gunma... when you write it down, it sounds like a lot! ^^;
It was in the middle of the Kouyou (Autumn Leaves) season, so there was the opportunity to see some absolutely stunning scenery. The weather was perfect for a Brit - not too hot, and not too cold.
I even had the opportunity to meet quite a few of my Japanese students. To those of you that I was able to meet in person, thank you so much for being such kind hosts, and showing me around the places that you love in Japan. The memories that we made together were the best part of the trip!!
Many other students that I couldn't meet in person gave some great recommendations for what to do, where to go, or what to eat in Japan. I tried to do as many things as possible, and your recommendations made my trip so much better ^^
Even though only a few days have passed since I returned home, I already want to go back (haha). Maybe next year...
Thank you for waiting while I was away. I am so excited to have a catch-up and hear about how you have been!
See you soon~
