Hi, I am a native Japanese speaker. I grew up in a US island in the Pacific during my childhood but my first language is Japanese.
Until having a baby last year, I worked at a Japanese cram school in London and taught English and Japanese(Kokugo) to children. I also used to work as a journalist for Japanese publications based in New York for 6 years. So I am comfortable teaching conversational Japanese, reading, and writing in Japanese.
As for my educational background, I have a bachelors degree in Advertising & Marketing from a university in the US and also a bachelors degree in Law from Japan`s Keio University.
I am planning to use Genki as well as online tutorial materials(videos and written materials) but if there is a specific textbook that you would like to use, please let me know. I will be sharing the links to the materials using Skype Chat. All levels are welcome!
