みなさん、こんにちは！
Hello everyone! My name is Cody, and I'm an American living in Japan for over 5 years with 10+ years of English teaching and tutoring experience.
I am from Florida in the Southeast United States. I studied English Literature at Auburn University, where I met many Japanese exchange students. I was so impressed with their kindness, so I often voluteered as an English conversation partner during my college days. I also tutored many students and got to know a lot about Japanese culture.
After graduation, I worked for 2 years at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando. I taught training classes and orientation for new employees. It was a lot of fun! But I could remember the fun times I had teaching and tutoring the Japanese university students, so I decided to go to graduate school and pursue teaching.
Later, I returned to school to get my Master's in Education and TESL certification. I wanted to see more of the world and get a firsthand perspective of life in Japan. I joined the JET program and worked as a high school English teacher in Fukushima prefecture from 2016-2018. It was a wonderful place to live, with so much beautiful nature. My hobbies are hiking and relaxing in
