My name is Laura and I have been teaching English for over 5 years now. What began as a curiosity to see what pursuing a career in ESL looked like, became my life's passion. 

 

I have taught a very wide range of students; starting from children less than 1-year-old right through to over 60's finally deciding to sit their IELTS test. Additionally, I've followed curriculums strictly as they were set as well as created fully bespoke courses to meet individual students' learning needs. 

This array of experience means that providing your English language education is more than just a hobby for me, I feel it is my goal to help you meet your goals. 

In our lessons, you can expect a lot of interactivity and engagement. I truly believe that having fun whilst learning helps you retain information and make it easier to comprehend tricky grammar points or lengthy words. We are not here to sit in silence and do worksheet after worksheet. We are here to practice real, everyday useful language. In our lessons, we will do this with fun and effective activities such as debates, role-plays, script acting, story-telling and much more. 

 

Whether you know exactly what you want to learn and improve on or have no idea where to start! There is an option for you. If you have specific goals in mind that maybe include an upcoming test or are based on a certain profession I can create unique lessons to meet your specific need. 

If you would rather not have to think about all that, you can just pick lessons you like the sound of and still have them tailored to make sure each moment of your lesson is as effective as possible for YOU.

Now, that's a bit about what my lessons are like. Next, let me tell you a bit more about me as a person. I have a very outgoing personality and love to chat with everyone about everything. I love to travel and am madly in love with most of Asia. Within 3 weeks of being in Asia for the first time, I decided I had to live there. That's when I moved to Vietnam for 3 years!

I currently live in the UK and spend the evenings creating teaching materials and reading up on ESL teaching tips. During the days I love to cook for my family, take pictures of my gorgeous meals, and post them to my food blog!
