Hello

My name is Kanae and I live in Tokyo, Japan.

I taught Japanese when I did a working holiday in Australia.

I also have a experience as a Japanese language volunteer at a university in Germany for local students.

In Japan I worked as a cram school teacher. I will adapt the lessons to your level so you can learn easily. よろしくおねがいします★

About my lessons

Let's study Japanese based on your level.

If there's something you don't know, please don't hesitate to ask.

I use a white board during my lessons. I will teach you Japanese as it's spoken by native speakers.

After the lesson I will send you a review of the lesson and homework. The homework is optional.

If there is anything in particular that you would like to study, we can adapt the lesson to that topic.

Hobbies

Traveling

I like experiencing new countries and cultures. Every one of these memories is precious to me.

This summer I plan to travel through Europe. I especially look forward to going to Belarus.

Hitchhiking

I recently went hichhiking in Japan. I went from Tokyo to Kumamoto for the first time. The nature and the sea in Yamaguchi Prefecture were so beautiful, I hope I can go back again some time.

Climbing Mountain

I was born and grew up in Tokyo and it's maybe because of that, that I generally like nature more than the city. I love hiking in the mountains. I went to Mt. Kawanori where I bathed in a waterfall. I went in March so it was so cold I thought I would die. It was a great experience that showed me the overwhelming power of nature.

Bungee jumping

I love that feeling as if your heart is about to burst out of your chest. I enjoy high places in general.

If you love heights, I recommend the FujiQ Highland amusument park. I've been there many times and it never gets old.

Next time I'd like to challenge myself with sky-diving as well.

I love animals

When I lived in Germany I became a volunteer at a local animal shelter.

I'm a vegetarian, which is quite rare in Japan.

My family has several pets: two dachshunds and a cat.

Cooking

I enjoy preparing a lot of food, from the main dish to the dessert... and then I eat it all too.

If there's something I want to eat I, I will try to cook it myself.(That way I can eat more ;))

Drawing Painting

I love drawing pictures of flowers. Recently I love drawing with a gold colored pen.
 

Watching movies and manga

I like Leonardo Dicaprio, Tom Hanks and Matt Damon.

My favorite movies are: Catch me if you can. Good will hunting, Devil (Brad Pitt), The Shawshank Redemption,Taitanic

My favorite mangas are: Attack on Titan, Tokyo Ghoul

The most important thing for studying Japanese is to speak without worrying about mistakes.

You will definitely learn to speak. Let's do this together.

Even if it's just a little bit, you should speak and listen to Japanese everyday.

Places from my travels that I remember fondly

Melbourne, is a big city just like Tokyo, so I recommend a place called Ballina in the Australian countryside. 

Byron bay, which has a beautiful view of the ocean is just 20 minutes by car from there.

 

Cologne /Köln in Germany. Germany is a great country to be living together with pets, that's why I love it. I will move to Cologne next month. 

 Bali in Indonesia.

A beautiful place in the middle of nature. I loved going for a run while looking at the green plants and the ocean.
