After taking four classes, I think I have found a teacher who can offer the classes for learning idioms well. I have been the one who is not interested in watching dramas and the like, even though I have been knowing that watching movies , dramas and the like is the most effective , as well as efficient way for learning languages. Nevertheless, it is time for me to face the music---I have to learn idioms by watching movies... Without any knowledge of western dramas, I really didn't know where I should have started from. ... Rather than watching the whole episode together, Alii offered me some short movie clips which made my learning more relaxing and enjoyable. To be honest, it is really not easy to understand the conversations spoken in the movies word by word. But,the most impressing part of the classes was the quiz offered after the classes. Since the clips were short, Alli has been able to provide me the transcripts. Not only the idioms learnt in the clips were revised, but the grammar I mistakenly used in our conversation during the classes have been revisited and revised, that is, the classes were actually tailor-made, to certain extent. The last but not the least, the quizzes can be done unlimitedly Therefore, I finally can memorise the practical idioms ( I suppose that the idioms used in the movies are also commonly used in daily life.) with my " demented " head. LOL. by the way, I even can practise my wriiten English in the quiz which is out of my expectation. ( i suppose to learn idioms and practise listening only in these classes.).
