Self Introduction:
Hello, my name is Migs! You can call me Migs or ミグ！

Growing up, I always loved playing video games, watching Japanese anime, and reading superhero comics. These hobbies lead to my love of art as well as my interest in learning the Japanese language!
In my pursuit of art, I started drawing every day and eventually went on to study at the De LaSalle College of Saint Benilde in Manila where I majored in Animation!

After graduating, I started self-studying Japanese and this growing interest in language study birthed a desire to teach English. I then decided to give teaching English a go and acquired a TEFL Certificate. Since then, I have been teaching English to foreign students both online and in-person for a little more than 5 years now! All while working as a freelance character design artist online!

My lessons:

As an artist and a language learner myself, I understand that both learning how to draw and how to speak a new language can be very frustrating. I understand that the struggle to cross the gap between where you are and where you want to be can have you feeling hopeless at times. 
But I'm here to guide you and provide a safe space for you to make mistakes, learn, and grow!

In my English lessons, I will be correcting your grammar and pronunciation as well as introduce new words and phrases to help increase your vocabulary and add to your mental library!
And in my art lessons, I will be drawing alongside you as I teach you various skills such as figure drawing, posing, coloring, and more!

I have also passed the N2 level of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test （日本語能力試験二級）and am planning to take the N1 test this year so I can provide support and teach in Japanese whenever you want me to!

Speaking a foreign language and bringing your imagination to life through art are both skills that can be honed. I am a firm believer that hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard (thanks for that quote Kevin Durant). So let's hone your skills together!
