VALENTINA NIKOLINA 講師的自我介紹
Здравстуйте! Hello! Bonjour! I am Valentina Nikolina, Russian native speaker, fluent in English and French (spoken and written). I am originally from Moscow, Russia, but 18 last years live and work in Montreal, Canada. My background is very diversified: Civil Engineer (Moscow Construction University), Computer Science Professional (Master, University of Montreal), Professional Risk Manager (Financial, International Certification with PRMIA), last 12 years I've been working for three large Canadian financial institutions.
But my biggest passion and very precious experience come from Teaching. In 1993 in Moscow, I founded my own private full secondary school ''Logos'', and in 1996 was honored with a title of ''High Achiever in Public Education'' (Отличник народного просвещения) of Russian Federation.
My experience includes the teaching of Business Russian at the Linguistic Academy of Montreal, advanced VBA Programming, and Microsoft Office for beginners at the University of Montreal, Mathematics and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP, Psychology) for teenagers and adults at my own school.
NLP proficiency gives me the ability to successfully connect with my students, and target their needs. My lessons can be easily adapted to specific goals of each student. Before starting a course, we discuss in details what exactly you would like to achieve on the minimum and maximum level. And I always try to bring my student on the maximum possible realization. Do not be afraid, if you are very beginner in Russian, I am fluent in Engish and French to provide all necessary explanations.
I am giving two types of courses here: Business Russian and Self-improvement (in Russian, English, French).
About 20 years, I've been studying and practicing multiple approaches and theories in personal self-improvement and self-transformation which helped me to write and publish two e-books (one in English, and another in Russian), and set up my blog.
My hobbies and interests are very diversified as well: writing, blogging, traveling (15 countries visited for now), painting in acrylic, yoga, qigong, dancing, cross-country skiing, photography.
I am that one who is very friendly, smiling, always listening to others, and ready to help.
I invite you to try my courses to see if there is a good match between us as student-teacher.
