Hello, students. :)

 

I am Jen and I am a college graduate with a degree in Psychology. That being said, I guess you now have an idea that I enjoy meeting with and talking to different people. 

 

My teaching career started in 2014. 

I have been teaching English for 3 years now and I must say that I enjoy teaching because I can also learn.  I used to be a center-based teacher to Korean students, center-based meaning I teach English with actual interaction. But that didn't last long as my students have to leave and go back to Korea, therefore I resulted to teaching English online. My online teaching career has been very rewarding that even if don't get to interact with them personally, I still feel lucky cause I get to meet different students from different parts of the world. From Koreans, I have also met and taught Japanese, Egyptian, Iranian, and Chinese students, among others. My students range from grade school, high school, university students and even working professionals. Witnessing your students improve gives you a sense of accomplishment knowing that you contributed to their development. 

 

Speaking of contributing, I know I would also be able to help you enhance your English speaking skills with the use of my reading materials that are age appropriate. I customize my class based on my students' level and needs; the areas that need improvement. So whether they are Beginners, Intermediate or Advanced learners, there is surely a lesson fit for them.  

 

Reading is one of the activities that I motivate my students to do, but it is not enough that you can read, I make sure they are not just reading but they understand what they read. How? I have helpful and effective reading materials that I can use for every level. During class, I help them by correcting their grammar, intonation, diction, pronunciation and I give them pointers and assignment after each class. What they have to do and How they will do it. 

 

That teaching technique has been very useful and effective ever since I started in teaching, therefore I am sure that it will also work for you.
