Hi, I'm Meghan and I am currently based in Virginia, USA. I have been an online ESL teacher for almost a year and I really enjoy interacting with different students all over the globe. I have a passion for education and I love teaching English as a second language - I have been doing it for 6 years now. It is so wonderful and rewarding to help students realize their potential and to watch them develop and grow both academically as well as personally.

I began teaching English as a second language in Bielsko-Biala, Poland where I worked at a private English school. This position allowed me the opportunity to hone my skills teaching business classes, one-on-one's, children's classes, conversation classes, teenagers, as well as adults. Additionally, I have also spent two summers working as an English teacher at summer camps - one in the Czech Republic and the other in Croatia. Kids that attend summer camp want to make memories and have a good time, and so it was imperative that I make the English lessons as 'fun-filled', while at the same time educational, as possible. While I lived in Vienna I worked as a private English tutor to various children of different ages. One tutee that I had the privilege of working with extensively for two years was a dyslexic boy. He is incredibly bright and it was very interesting to work with him and to practice various learning techniques to find the ones that were suitable for him. I also spent 2 years working in Korea as a kindergarten and elementary teacher. My time in Seoul provided me with the opportunity to teach a variety of classes, in addition to English, such as math, science, grammar, reading comprehension, writing and social studies. I am currently an online ESL teacher/tutor and I really enjoy this unique and flexible way to learn and practice a language.

I teach using a motivational style that fosters a positive learning environment and facilitates understanding. I view teaching and learning as a dynamic, fun, and interactive process. I really enjoy working with students and helping them build their confidence and skills in English!
