My background, experience and qualifications:

Hi! My name is Iván. I'm Mexican, so Spanish is my mother tongue and I have a C2 level in English. I studied a BA in English teaching as well as courses in Spanish teaching. I have over 15 years of experience working with teenagers, adults and university teachers from beginner up to advanced levels. I’ve also worked in companies teaching both technical and business classes. I speak some Portuguese and I can understand it quite well.

My teaching method and philosophy:

Studying a foreign language can be hard, especially if you do it on your own. That’s why I believe in listening to my students in order to know exactly what they need so as to adapt my teaching to them, provide suitable advice and relevant feedback. I am a patient, understanding and friendly teacher. Honesty is paramount for me, so I tell my students what they need to do in order to become better, and of course I will do all I can to help them achieve their goals.

About me:

I am 37, married and have two children. I am interested in the culture of my country and also in the culture of other countries. I’m an amateur photographer who loves technology, videogames and animated films. I believe this site is a great chance to communicate with people and to share with you the wonders of Mexico while I help you to become a better user of English or Spanish.
