Hello!

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

I am Anastasia. I am a qualified translator with three years of experience. I used to work in such fields as Medicine, Law, Oil and Gas, and Business Correspondence. 

Since 2016 I have been teaching General and Business English (adults only).

Doing translation work was time-consuming and stressful, with a need for close attention to detail, tight deadlines, and isolating myself to focus on finding the right equivalents. The urge to make a change bubbled up in me. This led me to start tutoring since I was getting many requests at that point.
Tutoring is enjoyable as it allows me to meet many people and witness their joy when they reach their objectives. Making a positive impact on someone's life is truly rewarding.

In 2021, I passed IELTS after 2 weeks of independent preparation and diligence.
I can share this experience with you and provide some advice.

I'm learning Japanese at the moment. If you want, I will do my best to also use the Japanese language. So, I know all the peculiarities of studying a new language. Also, I am not a native English speaker, so I know what problems can arise and a variety of ways to solve them without losing interest.

TEACHING APPROACH

I customize lessons to be most effective and fun, adapting both content and approach to fit the student's mood. I'm understanding, open-minded, and supportive, offering feedback to help track progress through challenges.

If you can't analyze your speech, you're confused about tenses and prepositions, you need to practice and brush up on other skills, like reading or listening, perhaps, or if you have no idea where to start, then you are at the right place, we will select necessary materials and work out everything in detail. 

Simple conversations on any topic you wish for, if you feel like talking to strangers on your tough days, to complain or discuss something you never dare with your friends, feel free to contact me too. I will never judge you and I make a conversation flow based on your interests, personality, and mood.

ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Central Asia. I enjoy traveling to different cities to avoid the sharp continental climate of my hometown which consists of scorching summers and freezing winters. I prefer visiting places with rich nature, such as forests, mountains, and sea. Seems like I can never get enough of visiting beaches and listening to the waves sound. 

I have been dreaming of visiting Japan due to its natural beauty, people being polite and calm, and saving personal boundaries, which is very important for me.  Such behavior like being quiet on public transport and not littering outside never ceases to fascinate me. I can go on and on listing the reasons, so please ask if you wish. Overall, the Japanese mentality is very close to my soul, I tend to believe. My friends live in Japan so I used to practice speaking Japanese with them.

I am goal-oriented, ambitious, and hard-working. I don't believe in obstacles. I have dedicated a lot of time to self-improvement, whether it comes to personality development or career achievement. I have read lots of books on different matters to better understand how to enhance myself and change my life since I was a teenager. Also, I am very kind and gentle. So feel free to ask anything, and I will help you out.

In my spare time, I cook, paint, watch series, and do yoga. I have got 2 dogs and love playing with them.
