ABOUT ME: 

Hello everyone, my name is Marielle!

I have been interested in Japanese culture since I was young up until I became a teacher. When I was a student, I used to watch Japanese manga series/anime. I remember my favorites were K-On, Dragon Ball, Hunter x Hunter, Naruto and as of the moment, I am very much into Studio Ghibli animation movies. Since I have been teaching for a long time, I had students from all over the world even from Japan. My Japanese students were mostly young learners and adults. It has always been my dream to travel to Japan with my family. I am also a dog lover and one of my dogs is named Yuki, which means "snow" in Japanese. The name suits her because she is a very cute white puppy and really looks like a snowball. 


ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE:

I have been teaching English as a second language for 9 years now. I have a TEFL or Teaching English as a Foreign Language certificate. My students are from all over the world. Most of them are from Japan, Korea, China, Europe and Latin America. I also have an Accent & Grammar certificate. I also worked as a Chief Operating Officer in one of the English academies in South Korea.

ABOUT MY CLASSES:

I offer almost all types of English classes. I teach Everyday English (suitable for learners who wants to practice English Expressions, Idioms, Grammar, Phrasal Verbs, Pronunciation and Vocabulary). I also teach Business English (suitable for office workers and business owners who want to practice formal expressions to use at work, interviews, meetings or presentations). I also offer trainings for English Proficiency Tests such as IELTS, TOEIC and OPIC (suitable for learners who are planning to study or work abroad). Lastly, I offer Freetalking Class or Conversational Class (suitable for learners who want to be fluent in using the English language). I have plenty of materials that will make our classes more engaging and these materials have been tested and proven effective through my teaching experience.
