Hello everyone, and thank you for visiting my profile!

My name is Jovana and I am an experienced ESL online teacher with over 3 years of teaching experience. I am a highly motivated and passionate teacher who enjoys aiding my students to become confident by creating a positive and safe learning setting.  My devotion to teaching comes from my deepest need to assist in other people's development and growth.

My teaching manner varies from person to person and even from subject to subject.  The way people acquire knowledge is varied, and each person acquires knowledge differently. Another matter that my students appreciate about my pedagogy is that I put a lot of effort into error correction and deliver explanations with plenty of patience and warmth.  So remember,  fear and shame are not welcome around here. This is your safe learning environment where you can reach your goals at your own pace.

Lastly, my forte is the variety of customized lesson plans I will create to suit your specific needs and goals.  I opt to teach more true-to-life English rather than ‘textbook' English. Although I have extensive experience with expanding courseware based on student's skills and needs, I lean to specialize in customizing courseware.  Ultimately, the choice is up to you!

I will keep you continuously updated on your learning outgrowth, thus all you have to do is relax and immerse yourself in our conversations.  Do not be afraid to make mistakes, on the contrary, if you truly want to learn something - you MUST make mistakes early on.

As an undergrad from the University of Belgrade, I studied comprehensive general linguistics with studies in both English and Spanish philology.  Besides my education and three-year teaching experience, I hold a Highfield Level 5 TEFL certificate with 180 hours, which has solidified my understanding of language learning theories and teaching methods that I had an opportunity to apply in my teaching practice.

It has been my pleasure to introduce myself and present the language teaching approach I can offer to my prospective students.
