Hello, everyone. I'm Teacher Crisel from the Philippines. I'm an experienced English teacher for more than six years now. I also welcome students who want to learn Tagalog or Filipino.
When I'm not teaching, I play with my 9-month old daughter. She is the source of my joy and inspiration. We both love playing with our three dogs. I also enjoy watching English TV series and movies in NetFlix.
Let me tell you more about myself. I grew up and lived in the province for 16 years before moving to Manila to further my education. I had lived a simple but unforgettable life there. Truly, I could say that ignorance is a bliss as a child. I was carefree. After finishing high school, I went to Manila to study. I took up Bachelor of Science Major in Computer Management.
My first job was in the BPO industry, known to the Philippines as the Call Center industry. I handled American and Australian clients for six years. Then, I moved to Singapore in 2012 to work as a Customer Service Specialist.
I came back to the Philippines in December 2015. That was the time when my career as an ESL teacher started. I've been helping students with their journey in learning English. I understand how challenging it is to learn a second language because I've been on my their shoes. Most provinces in the Philippines have their own dialects. When I moved to a different province, I had to learn how to speak theirs. It was really challenging in the beginning, but through practice and believeing in myself, I was able to do it. I may not be as fluent, but I know, I'm getting there.
Having more than six years of teaching experience, I can teach students of all ages and levels, using different materials or books. I also offer free talk lessons. My classes engaging and fun because I believe that students learn fast when they enjoy what they do. The lessons must not be enforced to them. Most of my students are kids, so that means I am really patient. On the other hand, my experience teaching adults taught me how to be proffesional. Juggling different kinds of students is not an easy task, but I am able to manage.
I'm looking forward to meeting my new students so we can have fun learning English together.
