Hello everyone! My name is Michelle. I am a native English speaker from the US.

One of my favorite things is talking to new people and learning about them. I look forward to working with you.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing. I am qualified to teach at a university level, both to undergraduate and graduate students.

I grew up in a house where I heard many accents and languages (Japanese, Chinese, Portuguese, Persian) from family or from exchange students that lived with us. My international travel has included Japan, Taiwan, the UK, Mexico, Canada and many Caribbean islands.


Each lesson I offer can be tailor made to my students and what they want out of the lesson. Lessons are focused on conversation and having fun speaking English. My belief is the more fun we have doing something, the more we want to do it! I am flexible and enjoy accomidating students. Let's have a good time.

If you are new to using skype and online tutoring, I can guide you!

Special interests and hobbies:
I have taught classes on film and screenwriting while a graduate student and take a special interest in representation in film and media. My hobbies incIude reading, watching film and tv, skating, cooking, listening to music, and spending time with friends. I have two adorable cats that may decide to join us for lessons occassionally ;)


I deeply believe that language and culture are connected. The act of speaking a language is the most physical thing our bodies can do. The journey you are on for learning a language and self improvement is a wonderful thing!
