Hello!
I'm a friendly and patient English teacher from the UK. I love travelling, art and music, and I'm also interested in learning languages. I'm currently studying Khmer and Chinese (so I understand the difficulties that students face when learning English!)
Teaching Experience:
As a fully qualified ESL teacher with a CELTA from Cambridge University (England), I've had an array of classroom and online teaching experience since 2018. I've taught students all over the world, from absolute beginners to advanced Business English and conversational students.
Here are my online English lesson statistics from 2020!
Teaching Style and Lessons:
I teach a range of skills - accent reduction, pronunciation, native fluency, grammar, tenses, etymologies, phonics and idioms.
I've been trained to teach language learners with absolutely no previous knowledge of English. So if you're nervous about whether I'll be able to teach you - don't worry! In my lessons, I utilise images, repetition and gestures to help you understand the language in a very natural way.
Test Preparation:
One of my preferred lessons to teach is preparing students for the IELTS examination (International English Language Testing System) which is widely recognised by English-speaking countries all over the world! So if you're looking to study in Australia, apply for a job in Canada, or emigrate to the USA, I can help you achieve a Band 7 or higher on the IELTS test!
