Hello, my name is Samantha but you can call me Sam. I got into teaching English as a second language because I love helping and guiding others. I have also always wanted to visit Japan and am currently learning the Japanese language. I decided to put those two passions together and now my ultimate goal is to teach English to students while living abroad in Japan! I am excited about teaching ESL online because it will bring me one step closer to my dream.
My most beloved hobby is crocheting. I started crocheting 2 years ago and although it was a bumpy start, I can now create amazing projects such as the one below. I have taught a few people how to crochet, including my mom and kids at the camp I volunteer at every year. I would love to teach you as well!
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, specifying in counselling. I am also almost finished my TEFL certificate course, which prepares me for teaching English as a second language. I am new at teaching, however, I am passionate about it and am excited to get started. My teaching goals are to be friendly, professional, and to make sure my students fully understand what it is being taught.
I am a native English speaker with tons of academic experience. I work best with adults and those who are at an intermediate/experienced English level. I recommend an introduction session for all new students so we can discuss your learning goals. I am very flexible and am willing to tailor lesson plans to specific needs.
I have tons of experience writing academic papers, specifically in psychology. I am confident that I can help you succeed in college-level essay writing. If you are a psychology student, I can also help you understand terms and concepts in English. I am also well-versed in Philosophy and can help you understand difficult philosophical concepts in English as well.
Please consider me for all your English needs!
