Here is what you need to know about me: My students call me Milly. I am TESOL qualified and experienced English teacher with a psychology degree which I obtained in the UK. I have been living in several diverse countries since I was pre-schooler, including Lithuania, Germany, United Kingdom, Spain, Vietnam and currently I'm living on Bali island in Indonesia. Here I live with my cousin and her boyfriend (you can see us in the picture below) and we have our 1-year-old kitty, Minnie.
I've experienced so many different cultures and it seems that I can never get enough! I am very interested in Japanese customs and food (of course).
I am flexible and easy-going, which means that I can talk about any topic you like! However, my particularly rich background includes areas such as psychology, real estate, marketing and beauty!
I have a lot of hobbies, including travelling, culture, dancing, exploring nature, food and a variety of extreme sports! I've recently started to learn surfing and scuba diving, and so far it has been amazing and unexpectedly hard!
My English teaching experience: My English teaching experience started when I was a student at university and I joined a voluntary program to help refugees with their English skills. I had been working with people of different ages and background, and I enjoyed it so much that I decided to give it a try to make my living out of teaching English and I moved to Vietnam to teach middle- and second-schoolers there. After six months, I moved to Bali and started teaching career online with South Koreans! I immediately fell in love with South Korea, its culture, people, dramas and food! I am teaching South Korean children, students and adults. They are of different English levels, which makes my job diverse and interesting. Now, I am looking for opportunities to teach Japanese and experience Japanese culture as much as I can ^^
Wondering what my lessons are like...? Enjoyable, interesting and motivating! Actually, it can be whatever you want it to be! I believe that the connection between the student and the teacher is crucial for time to fly by during the lessons. I am a patient, compassionate and enthusiastic teacher.
I am offering lessons for all ages and all levels of English. Our first few lessons will be determined to get to know each other better and talk about your goals and concerns. I have a lot of materials, text-book and free-talk experience from which you can choose and I can adapt to your needs.
