Hello! My name is Lucy (ルーシーと申します).
I'm an artist currently living in Philadelphia, USA but I am originally from Tokyo, Japan! I was in Tokyo for most of my life until the end of high school in 2014. I moved to America to attend university where I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in arts in 2018. I grew up with an American father and a Japanese mother and I am fluent in speaking, reading, and writing in both English and Japanese.
I have taught both English and Japanese for around 7 years now, and I love meeting students who are passionate about learning languages. Because I studied Spanish at university as a complete beginner, I understand the difficulties and excitement of learning a new language. That's why I am here to adjust to your personal learning style and make the best classes that work for you. The first thing we will do together will be breaking barriers and forgetting about embarrassment or fearing to make mistakes. Don't worry we will be laughing for most of our classes.
In addition to teaching languages, I will be able to help you with self-improvement. Self-improvement is something so close to my heart, it is something I work on every, single, day. Although the importance of this is often acknowledged, it can be very daunting and confusing on how to execute. That's why I am here to help you and encourage you along the way. Self-improvement helps in all areas of our personal lives, professional lives, love lives, and beyond. Better us means a better happier life and we all deserve that. You deserve that. And you will be the person paving that way for yourself, with some assistance from me <3
