Hi, I'm Tim. I am an English teacher with 23 years of experience. I spent 14 years teaching English in Japan between 1997 and 2011, so I am very familiar with Japanese culture and how to help Japanese students improve their English. I can also speak and understand Japanese, which can help lessons go more smoothly (I have passed Level 3 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test).
When I was in Japan, I taught at language schools and companies in Tokyo and its surrounding areas. I taught students aged 10 upwards.
One of my main strengths as an English teacher is my ability to help students feel relaxed and supported in their efforts to speak English. Also, because of my experience and knowledge of English, I am able to explain complex ideas clearly, helping my students understand and learn as quickly as possible. My teaching approach is both friendly and professional. If you try a lesson with me, I am sure you will notice the benefits immediately, and I look forward to supporting you on your journey to communicating confidently and effectively in English.
In my free time, I enjoy creative activities like origami, crafting, clay sculpture and graphic design.
