Can you believe that I still remember by heart the songs I sang when I was 15?? (I'm 36 now!) I'm sure you do too!
The lyrics of my favorite songs contain plenty of grammatical constructs that I use in everyday conversation when speaking English.
So, I think you should try this new and fun study method as well♪
Let me introduce you to a famous Italian artist and let's listen and analyze his most beautiful and popular song.
Here's how it works:
- I'll choose a song for you (or you choose it, if you have a favorite one) and prepare the material
- we will watch the video on YouTube and comment on it
- we will listen to the song again, this time reading the lyrics
- dictation activity: complete the text with the missing words... can you hear them? :)
- let's analyze the lyrics and try to understand the meaning of the song
- make a list of expressions and information about Italian culture that you have learned from this song
- after the lesson... Sing! Many many times, and memorize the text ^_^

If you're a beginner learner, you'll learn a few new words.*
If you've been studying Italian for a while, you'll also acquire some new grammar.
If you're an advanced student and/or a fluent speaker, you'll get to understand 100% of the lyrics and comprehend various elements of grammar and Italian culture on a deeper level.
▲Other than Italian, I can explain in either English or Japanese. Song lyrics are quite challenging to translate, so I can only offer this lesson to students with intermediate-advanced English or Japanese skills.
