Are you confident in speaking Japanese, but have trouble reading it?

Japanese has a lot of demonstrative words and abbreviations, which can make it hard to read and understand.

However, if you can get into the habit of reading regularly, even for only a short time, you’ll gradually get better at it!

In this lesson, you will be able to practise reading Japanese, using online articles and other reading materials I have to offer (see below for the list). If there are any novels or other texts you would like to read for the lesson, please don’t hesitate to tell me. I may not be able to accommodate all of your requests, but I will do my best to meet them. This may be your chance to finally read that book that’s been sitting on your bookshelf for years.

Please note that if you are requesting this lesson for the first time, I kindly ask you to message me about your preferences (what kind of texts you are interested in reading) before you make a request. I will check if I can accommodate your request in my lessons. Alternatively, I also recommend that you take my “trial & consultation” lesson. I can explain the process of this lesson in detail. If you send me a lesson request with no details, I cannot decide on the material, so I will not be able to offer a lesson. I thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

The main focus for these two textbooks are reading and grammar, but its reading comprehension section is also excellent, so if used properly, these textbooks can help you develop your reading comprehension skills as well.

This lessons is primarily designed for students at the intermediate level and above, but if you are a beginner level student in Japanese or have not yet completed beginner-level grammar, I can also offer the following textbooks.
