  Thanks for another great lesson. Today was one of those days where I felt like I could not communicate in Japanese at all and seemed to be progressing…  more Thanks for another great lesson. Today was one of those days where I felt like I could not communicate in Japanese at all and seemed to be progressing backwards, but Maki-sensei didn't give up. She also did some gentle corrections without breaking the conversation and when I struggled, she let me try to get the sentence out on my own first, which was nice since I could work out the mistakes myself first before getting a correction. Thanks again and looking forward to our next lesson! close

It was a bit of a counseling lesson in the beginning and Maki-sensei listened well and really helped me talk through some things. It felt good to be able to share with Maki-sensei some personal matters. I made a lot of mistakes (in Japanese) and Maki-sensei did some tactful corrections, but allowed me to focus on speaking about the topic. Thank you very much for a great lesson! close
