Strategies for Effective Essay Writing

This is a 25-minute lesson which aims to develop student's ability to compose impressive essays, articles, newsletters, reports, etc. The student will learn the step-by-step procedures on how to write an effective essay, starting from understanding the essay topic, proceeding to planning, writing a catchy introduction, analyzing the main points, composing a substantive body of the essay, strengthening the arguments, up to writing a conclusion that will leave the reader a strong impression of your work. This is great for students and adults because this lesson also aims to develop student's writing skills, widen their vocabulary and learn how to respond correctly and professionally.
 
Students will be given advance essay-writing materials which they will be asked to write and respond to different questions. The student will submit the written material to the tutor one day before the scheduled lesson. The tutor will correct student's grammar, sentence construction, word order and spelling. Student can take the tutor's suggested topics such as current events, global issues, travel destinations, etc. Students will also learn natural expressions, English idioms and and commonly used words in business English.
