Merry Christmas everyone! In my country, Christmas is a very big event, the longest, and the most celebrated. Any one who grew up in the Philippines can say that, indeed, 'it is the most wonderful season of all'.
Generally, we start the countdown, not "on the 12th day before Christmas", but when the month of the year gets the "ber", that's right, September 1! Christmas carols and hymns start playing, decorations are set up, res and parties are planned, people get kinder and make a long list of presents to buy for kiths and kins.
Some of the best pictures I have in my mind; children carollers who use tin cans and spoons to accompany their singing of Christmas ditties, fruit cakes, illumination of most houses, godchildren visiting their godparents, the gathering of families and friends wearing their best clothes, and memories of so much more.
Our Christmas ends in January, on the 12th day after Christmas (Birth of Jesus), it is called the "Feast of the Epiphany" or a memorial for the 3 Kings who visited Jesus when He was born. After this day, we put away everything related to Advent, except the beautiful memories which is always in our heart.
