This weekend is July 4th, which celebrates Independence Day in America!
今週末はアメリカの独立記念日を祝う7月4日です！

This is a great summer holiday.
これは素晴らしい夏にある休日です。

When I was younger, every year, my family would have a pool party and a barbeque on this day. My dad would cook steaks and burgers and hot dogs. And my mom would make macaroni salad and potato salad and a big ice cream cake for dessert.
私が若い頃、毎年、この日は家族でプールパーティーとバーベキューをしていました。 私の父はステーキとハンバーガーとホットドッグをgrillで焼きました。 そして、私の母はマカロニサラダとポテトサラダ、そしてデザート用の大きなアイスクリームケーキを作ります。

We would invite our family and friends and everyone was outside the entire day swimming, sitting in the sun, eating too much, and having a great time.
私たちは家族や友人を招待し、みんなが一日中外で泳いだり、太陽の下で座ったり、食べすぎたり、素晴らしい時間を過ごしたりしました。

It is close to my birthday too :)
それと、私の誕生日にも近いです:)
