My favourite Christmas memories are from childhood when our mum would ask my brothers and I to decorate the tree and put the fairy lights up!
Fairy lights are so magical and decorating the tree still is so much fun for me, even though nowadays my husband has to bring the Christmas tree up four flights of stairs! It's totally worth it though. Maybe he doesn't agree:-)
The smell of the real pine tree wafting through the house was also amazing. I still get a real tree, decorate it and put up fairy lights every year. This will be the only year we don't do it because we are renovating.
