Mention 3rd Mile to anyone in Kuching and more likely than not, “Sunny Hill” will definitely come to mind. This ice cream shop has a special place in my heart as I had my first soft serve ice cream there. And can you guess which flavour is my favourite?

The pandan soft serve swirled ice cream is indeed a sight to behold. And since I find licking unsightly, I usually finish the whole ice cream by biting generous chunks of it. The best part of this eating experience is just letting this icy cold flavour melt and linger in my mouth.

Granted, there are other ice cream parlours that serve ice creams of unusual flavours. Still, I’m partial to “Sunny Hill” because the moment I ate their pandan ice cream, that sets the standard for what soft serve ice cream ought to be.
