Hello everyone! I’m Saskia, from Norwich in the United Kingdom. 
 
 
I am a qualified tutor, with many years of experience in a range of tutoring situations. I have a huge passion for learning, and really love supporting people who are trying to learn English. It can be a very tricky language! 
 
I also enjoy sharing experiences and passions. I love to get to know people and have fun conversations.  I've lived in England my whole life, so I'm super excited to be able to share culture and language with others!
 



I want to help people gain confidence with practical English, especially to gain confidence in talking about topics that are important and interesting to them. Often these are topics essential for jobs, life goals, or just expressing yourself. However, these are not taught by schools and language apps. 
 
Therefore, I really want to focus on conversational topics and passions not covered by the normal curriculum, as well as sharing some fun expressions and phrases used by native English speakers.
 


(I look forward to telling you about British culture, for example, holidays to the peak district, a famous nature reserve in the UK. My dog is called Jet :) )

 
I have had lots of experience tutoring:
-I regularly mentored University students in University level biochemistry. (My own degree is in Microbiology, at the University of Sheffield, UK)
-I have tutored high school students in both Maths and Biology. 
-I have also worked as a swimming coach for 3 years. 
-I have worked as a school helper for 2 years.
 
Recently my love for international perspectives and sharing of experiences led me to an international Hojskole in Denmark. Here, I met people from around the world, who were looking to improve their English. I really enjoyed helping them, especially my Japanese and Korean friends. It has been a joy to exchange cultures, interests and languages. Now I want to continue doing this and supporting other people who want to gain fluency in English.

I make an effort to adjust to every learner, by trying to understand everyone's unique goals. My lessons are flexible, relaxed and will be tailored to your goals, level and learning style. I also ask engaging questions to keep the conversation flowing and make sure everyone has a good time! 
 
 
After meeting with me, I hope you will have a good time, feel more excited about the topics discussed and be more confident in your ability to express yourself in English!
