Hi!
My name is Nina and I am originally from Serbia, but I have been living in Portugal for over a year now. I am still struggling with Portuguese language and I know how you feel.
Education
I have graduated from Law School, Belgrade University. After graduation, I started working in an international law firm as a junior associate, specializing in corporate law. Working in an international business environment and being in touch with clients all over the world helped me understand how modern communication in business world works.
Experience
I started teaching English back in university. I started with one-on-one lessons and small groups of students, and later on, thanks to good recommendations, a lot of my students were businessmen, working on upgrading their business English skills.
During my studies I used to work for an international online English schoolfor over a year. Most of my students were from South-East or East Asia.
I hold a CAE (Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English). Since I am not a native, I am very familiar with the process of preparing and studying for various ESOL exams. Not only have I helped a lot of students pass such exams, I have passed them myself.
Love for languages and other cultures
Besides English, I speak Spanish as well. I have spent most of my life studying languages, and the truth is, there are no 'easy languages'. Every time, you need to start from the scratch.
About a year ago, I moved to Portugal, Setubal, a small city with beautiful beaches, a lot of wine and music. I continued teaching English here. Since I am studying Portuguese at the moment, that puts me in a position of a student and helps me understand the needs of my students.
Studying a language is a long process, and often without instantly visible progress. It takes patience and hard work. While studying a language, you need to know how to enjoy the process. I can help you with that - I have done it myself couple of times already!
I am really looking forward to meeting you!
