Hello everyone! Приятно познакомиться. I'm Valeriia, an English teacher and avid traveller from Russia.

I majored in English Studies and recently completed my Master in English Language and Linguistics from a German University. Learning and teaching languages is a passion of mine, and it is my firm belief that learning a language is impossible without cultural immersion. That doesn't mean you have to go to another country, but exploring the wide world of literature, history and music can make learning so much more fun! In my classes, we talk a lot about the target culture, travelling, books and much more - about anything you always wanted to know really!

I am experienced in initiating a conversation and keeping it fresh and exciting: I spent one year in Tokyo and worked in an English Language café back then. This is one of the reasons I joined Cafetalk: I loved talking to Japanese people and learning about their culture while they learn about mine.

I can gladly teach you Russian and German: it is well known how complicated their grammar systems are, but they are so rewarding and fun to learn!

As for my interests, I am keen on dancing, going to live concerts, hiking and travelling (again), so feel free to talk to me about them if you feel related!

自分がダンシング、伝統文化、コンサート、漫画などが大好きので、興味が合えるならうれしいです！
