Hello there! My name is Sierra and I have been an certified English teacher for 3 years now. I taught English in Japan for my first year at an afterschool English academy and an international preschool. After that, I started teaching online with an English learning platform for children.
I have taught students from 9 months to 17 years old, but I also have experience teaching adults.
In university I studied Linguistics so I have an exceptional understanding of English phonetics (pronouncing sounds) and syntax (sentence building.) This has been very helpful for students who want a more in-depth learning experience and are curious about why English works the way it does sometimes.
I look forward to helping everyone from the basics to perfecting fluency in English! See you in class!
