I hope you are all having a wonderful day. My name is Irfan and I am one of your tutors here at cafe talk.

 

 

A little about me, I was born and raised in Quebec and then Wisconsin. I enjoy cycling, hiking, kayaking and most ourdoor activities as well as traveling around the world and meeting people of a variety of backgrounds. I love exploring (and taking photos) of places new to me as well as soaking in the many adventures that comes with it. I am active in couchsurfing as well as numerous meetup groups in Atlanta where I now reside. These experiences and my background have helped to positively shape me and my interaction with those of a different background than me.

 

I believe that people best learn when they have a variety of tutors espcially when learning a language. While the basic rules remain the same (grammar, forming sentences, etc.) the accent and the "style" of a language will vary depending on geographic locations and the background of those you have conversations with. More often than not I have encountered among my friends and people I have come across is that while they have spent years learning a language it was still difficult for them to have a conversation and to understand the other individual. This is what I seek to help you with; for you to be comfortable talking to me and to any other person in the language that you are learning and seek to master. My classes will be straight forward Conversation classes where you and I will talk about a variety of subjects that interests you and while we talk I will listen to how you speak and will help you in not only improving your English but also to increase your confidence when you speak to me or anyone else. This will be very helpful from everyday conversations to more formal English that would be used in business settings.

 

In addition to English I also teach grade school level Mathematics and Science. I promise that you will not be bored and if you seek to learn as well as having fun while learning let me know :)
