Hi! I am Nicole.  I have been a Specail Ed teacher for 4 years now.  I am super excited to be starting my 5th year!  I went to college at the University of Mississipi (Ole Miss) for my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.  When I graduated in May 2013 I began teaching the following August!  I was so excited to start this new journey in my life.  Shortly after I started I decided that I wanted to learn more and deepen my knowledge of how to teach my students to read.  That October I started my Master's degree in Reading and Literacy!  It was an amazing feeling to see all that I had learned working in my classroom!  I strive to learn something everyday from my fellow teachers and students.  I want to grow to become the best teacher I can!

 I also began to teach a student that move to the United States from India.  She is 5 years old and is really struggling with learning to speak English.  She has made great progress but still is easily frustrated.  I enjoy finding ways to help her through her frustrations so she can be a successful English speaker. 

Some of my intersts include hiking, horseback riding, fishing, and most anything I can do outside with my family!  I also love to read.  I find it very important to read and expand my knowledge as much as possible.
