Hi I'm Christine, but you are also welcome to call me Tina! I live in Tzaneen in South Africa. It is a small town bordering on the famous Kruger National Park. I have many years of experience in teaching English first, second and third language to people from the age of 12 to 25. It's been fun learning about other cultures through teaching English. I have a Bachelor of Arts, with an English Honours, and an HDE (Higher Diploma in Education). I love teaching English because it is such a dynamic language with a bigger vocabulary than any other language in the world, and a massive body of literature.
Because of the natural beauty of where I live, my interests include hiking, observing wild animals and birds, trees and mountain biking. I also love playing tennis, reading and playing bridge. Spending time in the bush amongst the wild animals of Africa is a very great privilege which we enjoy regularly!
My teaching style is interactive, encouraging, casual, and you need to have fun while you learn. The best way to learn a language is through listening and speaking, so I like to give my students a lot of opportunity to speak. Because I am a good listener, you will be able to speak freely. This way you will learn to speak naturally with a Standard English Accent. Whatever your English goals might be, I am sure that once we have enjoyed a lesson together, you will feel that you have achieved your ambitions.
Thanks for taking the time to read my profile! I look forward to meeting you!
