Greetings! My name is Edwina. I'm from the Philippines but I moved to South Korea in 2014 to join my Korean husband.

I want to be remembered as a

a cool and unique English teacher. My style is reflected in my teaching. I usually conduct a level test before teaching so that I know where and how to start. I also do an interview first. These are essential, both to me and my clients. I love preparing personalized lessons that cater to each of my clients. I value and respect "individual differences" because I don't teach a set of templates and use them to a set of robots. I teach humans with varied preferences and personalities. I believe I survived in the academe because of this. 

What I use are

authentic stuff, music, gadgets, notebook and pen, and other paraphernalia when I teach. I love variety and energy. I want to use things or situations that both my students and I like because that will make us happy. Happiness makes studying a language both entertaining and educational.

Alongside teaching

I also have been editing and proofreading students' and professionals' works, emceeing at weddings and other programs, and writing speeches and letters for a long time now. If you need help with those, I am willing to assist you.

My passions include   

swimming, singing, reading, surfing the net, writing, trying new things, teaching, Korean dramas, and other adventures I can afford to do here in Korea.
