Hola! Mi nombre es Diana. Mis abuelos son de Okinawa. Nací y me críe en Lima-Perú. Viví 8 años en Japón (Hyogo, Osaka y Tochigi) y actualmente llevo 11 años viviendo en USA.
Spanish is my first language. Since I attended a school for Japanese descendants, I learned the basics of Japanese writing and grammar, and during the eight years living in Japan, I had the chance to improve my skills in conversation. Currently, living in the USA, I work daily to improve my English, especially my pronunciation, which I find particularly challenging…. But not impossible to achieve!
I got my degree in Preschool Education in 1992 in Lima-Perú. I was a Program Director of a “Mommy and Me” style center. I taught Japanese to first graders at a Japanese-Peruvian community school and taught Japanese to beginners at the Japanese-Peruvian Association in Lima-Peru. In the US, I worked as a lead teacher for the 2-3-year-old classroom and taught Spanish for the 4 and 5-year-old classrooms. I also have a YouTube channel for children with stories, songs, and educational activities in Spanish, English, and Japanese.
I love teaching and would love to sing, do storytelling, and have fun learning with you.
