I am a native English speaker from the UK, currently living in Thailand. I am well travelled, and I have also lived and worked in the USA, Ireland, Ghana, Australia, the Middle East, Peru, and South Africa.
I have a Level 5 TEFL diploma, 3 TEFL certificates (including Teaching Business English and Teaching Young Learners), and a degree in Business Management. Additionally, I have almost 4 years experience teaching in a classroom and online.
I am available for English lessons focusing on vocabulary, pronunciation, sentence patterns, grammar, and comprehension. Tell me what you want and I'll plan the lessons around your goals.
I also offer a variety of conversational classes which can be general (based on your interests), specific to your job or industry, or even related to particular situations (like travel or interviews)
I am passionate about what I do, and my classes are friendly and encouraging, with lots of positive praise. I believe in nurturing confidence. My style is relaxed and adaptive, and I encourage learners not to be afraid of making mistakes. Mistakes are a great learning tool.
I have a professional background up to management and executive levels in Sales, Banking and Finance, and IT.
I am a PADI Specialty Scuba Instructor. I love diving on wrecks (Xenobia), and my deepest dive is to 42 meters. I also enjoy skiing, reading (mainly history and biographies), golf, hiking, movies, and most outdoor activities.
