About Me:
Hello, my name is Teacher Aga and I'm from California, United States. I have a Bachelor degree in Education Major in Biological Sciences, and I am currently at my 3rd year in my Master’s degree in Biology! I was an Assistant Professor and Instructor in Science and Education in Universities for more than 4 years. I was privileged to become part of the speakers in one of the most celebrated conservation talks in the world, "The United Nations Worldlife Day" last 2018, where I presented a case study on the effects of Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals found in most plastics and other products containing Phthalates and Bisphenol A. I also have a huge interest in filmmaking.
Me as a Teacher:
I have been teaching online for more than 2 years now, and I have more than 4,000 hours worth of teaching English experience. I taught students of all ages, especially grades school and high school students. I also had a Certificate in Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language. I am also currently taking up another English teaching certification worth of 220 hours of Mastering TESOL/TEFL, including Business English, and a Course in Teaching English to Young Learners. I am a referred to as friendly and a very patient teacher by my students and parents.
My Lessons and Teaching Styles:
I specialized in conversational mode of teaching English. This is the kind of class where we kind of talk about general informations (i.e, cultures, weathers, science, world-views, philosophical stuffs, and the likes). I also invite my students to bring in some articles, stories, or anything that may be of interest to them, that way we can have a meaningful conversation while we extend our theories surrounding English grammar, and be able to help them process information with the use of other vocabularies. I was told to be a very fun and interesting teacher by most of my students and parents. I use props when necessary, and I use games, audios and videos to further student learning.
