My name is Yusuke.
I am originally from Tokyo, Japan and Japanese is my first language.
I moved to Hawaii when I was 18 years old and learned English. Thereafter I attended a college in California where I studied Computer Business Information Science.

I have taught Japanese to many students here in the U.S. in person as well as via online lessons. Some just wanted a native Japanese speaker to practice conversation to keep their Japanese fresh and others needed academic help for their college classes etc...Some prefer to learn in a relaxed setting where we freely converse in Japanese while others would like more structured sessions with textbooks and homework.

I am very flexible, freindly, easy to work with. I can cater to whatever teaching style that the students would like. I personally believe that people would learn a language effectively when they are relaxed and are allowed to speak freely without being overly concerned about grammatical mistakes. (Yes the grammar is important but this should not be to the point it shys the students away from speaking freely).

 I love surfing, photography, and fishing. I also enjoy being outside and am an avid camping lover. I am a pretty upbeat person.
