Thank you for visiting my page on CafeTalk

My name is Yukari, I am an EFL teacher from Colombo, Sri Lanka. I have been teaching both conversational and business English in Japan since 2017, both in-person and online. 
 
Over the years I have learnt the most common mistakes made when it comes to grammar and similar-sounding words. I can help you correct such errors and help you to be confident with your speaking whilst learning new words and colloquial phrases 
 
If you want to focus on conversational English practice, pronunciation, grammar or have any other requests, I will be happy to help!
 
I am half Sri Lankan and half Japanese, born and raised in Sri Lanka. I pursued my undergraduate studies in Mathematics and Economics and worked in the finance and tourism industries before moving to Japan. 
I moved to Osaka, Japan in 2017 and have been getting to know the culture and language little by little every day. In my free time, I like trying different types of food, cooking and weight training. I try to read as much as I can too!
My favourite food is karaage!
