Hello! I'm Aki, a vocal trainer.
Singing is fun, pleasant, and deeply interesting, and I'd like to learn these things with you ( ^ω^ )
I would love to teach you how to sing and pronounce Japanese songs!
How to warm up, breathing exercises, strength training, vocalization, pronunciation, listening…
I’ll teach you these in an easy-to-understand manner◎
Beginners are welcome!
In my lessons, I aim to teach you to "have fun, and feel good” whilst singing☆
I want to get better at singing!
I want to try and sing my favorite song (including Western music)!
I want to conquer karaoke!
I'd love to sing at a wedding extravaganza!
I want to be a professional singer!
In addition, we could also work on how to speak with a carrying voice, or overcoming stage fright!
and so forth
I'd like to help you improve upon your requests and needs ( ^ω^ )♪
I look forward to meeting you in our lessons!
-AKI Profile-
I started dancing at the age of 15, and became a HipHop dance instructor at the age of 17.
After working as a HipHop and Reggae dancer for 12 years, I took up a new course in life to become a singer, which I was always passionate about.
In 2009, I moved abroad to the United States for a short period of time, and returned to Japan after working at Chicago as a soloist at the Hermon Baptist Church quartet. Since then, I have made several trips to the United States to learn further.
I’ve also worked at several different places such as clubs, live houses, and outdoor events in my hometown Ube, Yamaguchi, as well as in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka.
I also worked as a lead vocalist for the jazz band “Moriyama Trio”, as well as working as a backing chorus for live shows (in Yamaguchi Prefecture) for reggae artists MOOMIN, REILI, and Manji-line, etc.
In 2016, I developed herpes zoster in my left ear, which forced me to take a break from my career as a singer.
But it hasn’t stopped me from working with singing, and now, I’m working as a vocal trainer to help others sing while "co-existing" with the aftereffects in my left ear!
I’m great at courteously instructing my students from their point of view☆
