Nice to meet you! Thank you for taking a look at my profile.
My name is Ryoko and I’m an online violin teacher.
The word for “music” in Japanese is written with the characters for sound and fun.
I hope that our time together will make you think that “violin is fun!” and “the sound of the violin is beautiful!”
The violin may look like a small instrument, but it has the power to reverberate all the way to the very last row of a large concert hall, even without a microphone. The sound of the violin can express a wide variety of emotions, which is what makes this dynamic and delicate instrument is so charming. ♪
〜Why Violin?〜
・violin is great for playing melodies
・not only can it play single notes, it can also play chords
・you can make performances more interesting by incorporating vibrato (shaking your left hand), pizzicato (plucking the strings with your fingers), flagioletto (a delicate, falsetto-like sound)
・the best part about learning violin is being able to enjoy playing in an orchestra, string ensemble, duet with a pianist, etc.
