Hi! My name is Evyn and this is Pixels 2 Polygons English! I am originally from the USA, and I have been living in Japan since 2011. I'm also a mom! 

I started teaching English in Japan in 2012. I was trained on the job, and learned a lot over the last 10+ years I have been teaching there. I believe love and kindness goes a long way in creating a good learning expeirence for both the student and the teacher. I care deeply about my students and their learning goals.

When the coronavirus (COVID-19) started, I found myself suddenly teaching English online instead of the classroom. My immediate priority was making sure my students didn't lose progress.

I was surprised how quickly figured out how to teach online! I found myself helping my co-workers do it, and was even asked to give a talk on how I taught the kinder lessons.

More surprisingly, I realized ✨ LOVED ✨ teaching online!

A. I love video games! So I wanted to bring that fun, playful energy to my lessons. Like how video games progressed from pixels (2D) to polygons (3D) I hope my students will also progress and thrive into excellent English speakers!
