I’m a professional English teacher and Freelance Writer. I’m originally from Plymouth in the UK, but I now live in Southern Spain. For the last five years I’ve taught English to students between 5 and 50 years old, working with students, scientists and even the physical trainer of a premier league football club in the UK.
I specialize in teaching one to one classes and classes with small groups – focusing on improving conversation and writing skills. I make my sessions as creative as possible, drawing on my background in Drama and Arts to use roleplay, music and games to make the classes as fun and stimulating as possible. If you want classes in pure grammar, I’m probably not the teacher for you!
With a MSc in Conservation Ecology I can also help students who need to publish and present scientific papers and business English. I currently work with many PhD level at Granada University. Having lived in many parts of the English-speaking world I have to have a great deal of knowledge of slang and idioms – I can teach you how ‘real-people’ speak on the street…English that you use in ‘real life’. Looking forward to working with you!
