Hi! I'm Teacher Cathy. I'm a single mom to a 5-year old boy and a 1-year old baby girl.

I have 10 years of experience in the HR field. I used to be the HR manager of Mitsubishi Electric Philippines. I am also the former Recruitment Head of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, one of the top colleges in the archipelago.

I love teaching! It gives me the opportunity to share with others what I know about the English language. I have been teaching English for over 2 years now. I have taught learners as young as 4-year olds and as old as 80. My previous students come from different parts of the world: Japan, China, Korea, Poland, and Russia.

When I'm not teaching, I'm either singing or cooking. I was told to be good at both. Other than those, I love watching reality shows on YouTube. Some of my favorite shows are The Master Chef, The Voice, The X Factor, and America's got talent.

I am also a wellness coach. Having lost 40 lbs in 4 months way back in 2016 has got me really passionate about weight management.

A common goal of all ESL students in learning English is to be conversationally fluent and accurate to be understood and get a message across. In order to achieve this goal, I help my students with the following skills:

-Grammar

-Pronunciation

-Vocabulary/Choice of words

Incorrect grammar, pronunciation, and choice of words will definitely send your audience a different message.
